By Auto:

Williamsburg is easily reached by highway (I-95 + I-64) from any direction. The hotel is easily accessed from I-64, the major Interstate connecting Richmond to Norfolk.

By Rail:
There is train service to Williamsburg and some travelers may find that rail connections are easier to use than other modes of travel

By Air:
Three regional airports serve the Williamsburg area:

  • Richmond, VA (Richmond International Airport–RIC)
  • Newport News, VA (Newport News-Williamsburg Airport–PHF)
  • Norfolk, VA  (Norfolk International Airport–ORF)

Car rental, shuttle and taxi service is available from these airports. A number of firms provide  service and have an on-line presence, but a couple of services to start with (cited for your convenience–we have NOT checked them out) are:

Of the three airports, Newport News is about half the distance from the hotel as the others–but is smaller and has fewer daily flights than the other two. Richmond and Norfolk airports are about equidistant from the hotel, but Richmond is a “straight shot” via Interstate-64 while Norfolk requires traveling through a tunnel which is a frequent source of traffic backups. The “best choice” will depend on connections from your home airport. In some cases it may be easier to fly into Washington-Dulles airport and drive to Williamsburg….
