Williamsburg Governor’s Mansion
Horse Drawn Carriage Ride
While staying at the Fort Magruder Hotel, attendees and family members may wish to tour the many sights in Williamsburg area. Naturally, Historic Colonial Williamsburg is a prime draw since we have secured a hotel so close to this attraction. We do encourage attendees to personalize their schedules so that the many sights can be appreciated in small groups.
Tickets are available online (and at our hotel) for single day access to Colonial Williamsburg, but for a small additional fee the ticket can be extended for three successive days. It is difficult to see everything in one day. Colonial Williamsburg does provide shuttle service to the various sights in the town.
There are many other historical sights nearby including the other two parts of America’s Historic Triangle, Jamestown and Yorktown.

Another nearby attraction is Busch Gardens Williamsburg theme park. There are many famous shopping options within a few miles including the Pottery Factory and the Williamsburg Outlet Mall.
The Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau publishes an excellent Vacation Planner that not only covers the primary attractions mentioned above, but covers a much wider range of opportunities such as golf, dining, etc. [There are eleven golf courses in the immediate area!]
